The Half Marathon course is about 21 km long with +~1000m of elevation gain. The start is at the Șanta camp. Note! The start is not in the same place as in previous editions.

The course follows the forestry road towards the Păltiniș resort and comes out onto the road from Sibiu at the junction with the road to Șanta. From there it takes the forestry road towards the ski slope and enters the trail to Șaua Bătrâna through the Găujoara meadow (red cross). The trail passes the sheepfold in Șaua Bătrâna, and 10 km after the start we reach the first aid station (PA) and the first checkpoint, CP1 P.Babei.

Here the half marathon course splits from the marathon. After the spring on the Cindrel ridge (P.Babei = CP1), we descend on shepherds' paths to the Muncel forester's lodge, CP2, and the water point (PH). From the lodge the course continues towards Poiana Lupilor, then down to the forestry road to the Șanta camp, which takes us back into the camp.
